“Paula & The Bird”
Moving away from the technology and laugher series for now. This is my very good friend Paula Swisher. Paula is one of the most gifted painters I know and I simply adore her work. She recently participated in a global collaborative art project known as The Sketchbook Project (Google it if you don’t know). For her part, she submitted a sketchbook filled with incredibly unique paintings of birds on textbook pages. With her combined use of classical painting techniques and creative use of typography and modern design elements and sensibility, her pieces are fascinating and refreshing to soak in.

I LOVE this image of Paula! That is exactly how I think of her–as curious, interested, engaged, perceptive, studying the world around her.
