“Silje Nes”

Silje Nes performing in NYC.  She is an amazing Norwegian singer/songwriter and plays a billion different instruments.  Even though she has a beautifully gentle and pillowy (almost fragile and quirky sounding) singing voice (which I love), she often creates deeply immersive, layered and sonically rich music that is hypnotic and has a way of enveloping and transporting the listener into what feels like a surreal environment.  I definitely recommend her music.  She has a new album out called Opticks that is worth checking out.
