“DM Stith in NYC”
DM Stith (David Stith) is a friend and an outstanding singer/songwriter/musician. I had the pleasure of seeing him at Joe’s Pub in NYC a couple of months ago as he was finishing up his US tour. His music and voice are hauntingly beautiful and is deeply and richly layered in such a way that it is difficult for me to adequately articulate the wonderful effect it has on the listener. Most of the time his music feels like a meditation and when turned up loudly in a quiet room the music washes over you like an ocean current. His music is a reflection of his thoughtfulness and sharp intellect. I’m not a very good music critic (even though I’m a lover of music) so I will end further attempts to describe his music here.
.
He is currently getting ready to tour with Sufjan Stevens around the country (he is opening for Stevens actually)! David, I wish I could see you when you will be down here in Philly in November, but I won’t be able to make that one. As for the rest of you, do yourself a favor and check out David’s music and see him in concert at the links below. You will not regret seeing him perform live!

Love that middle one especially, with the light hitting that audience member too. So jealous you got to hear David in NY.
