As it often does in that area, a heavy fog set in around my mother-in-law’s place one evening.  That, combined with freezing temperatures overnight, decorated everything with a fine crystalline ice structure on Christmas morning.  It was as if a mysterious force swept through the area in the dark of night and made everything look magical on Christmas morning.
