Visiting The Johnsons: A Visual Diary (10 of )

boat-piece-search

Maggie searches for the last few pieces of the red boat while Eliza works on it’s construction.  This was one of the last pictures I took of them putting this puzzle together.  Why?  Apparently, whenever Maggie kept asking me to help with the puzzle I kept saying to her, “in just a minute honey, okay?”  Well, with an irresistibly adorable little pouty face and a mousy, slightly southern accent she said, “but you said that more than a minute ago.”  Indeed I had.  Sometimes you have to put down your camera and find the right pieces first.  Thanks Maggie for the reminder.

Jigsaw puzzles are one of our family traditions over Christmas… looking forward to being home to partake in it! (Painstaking, but the reward of putting in the final piece! It’s usually a race to the finish).

THis is great! And hey–check out those AMAZING bird drawings in the background. :)

I think those were painted by a famous artist named Paula Swisher. You might have heard of her. ;-)
