the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

My church asked me to take a group photo of us yesterday (sadly, not all of us were here for this photo) to give as a gift to our much loved pastor Sharon (middle, black pants and tan jacket) and her husband Duane who will be leaving us this Fall (we will all greatly miss her and Duane).  I can say with confidence that I have never had a more loving pastor than Sharon. As it is with many others at my church, she wears many hats, but the one I think I will remember her most for is her warmth and gentleness (I doubt many will be able to resist the urge of being hugged by her if they are lucky enough to ever meet her face to face).  She often speaks about the value and importance of living within an intentionally loving community, but more importantly her life reflects just how much she actually values it.  For all you photo geeks: the challenge of this picture wasn’t getting everyone all settled, but rather the 50 yard dash back to the group before my timer went off. So stay in shape! ;-)   As you already have noticed, with this post I am launching a new look to my photoblog site.  Now I will be able to post much larger photos on this site for those who have ginormous monitors!  Several older posts are also now in larger sizes.  Enjoy.
