“It’s All Too Big”

mia-grandparents.jpg

Holding, both close to their hearts and with extended arms, they have lived 89 years of watching.  89 years of doing.  89 years of breathing in and breathing out.  89 years of getting older.  89 years of hurting and loving.  89 years of mysteries.

She is doing the same thing.

We hug and hold each other in affection when welcoming and when leaving.  I do a lot of that.  It both fills and empties me.

Most days, life is too big for me.

FINALLY!!!! A fav. Your Grandparents have always brought a smile to my face. I remember riding with Bob to one of his hockey games and they were in the backseat holding hands;-)
