the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

“King Kong Kwon”

Bobby, a lifelong boxing fan, jumped at the chance to teach his nephew Kwon some basic boxing skills (which drew the attention of his cousins) when he announced that he wanted to be a boxer. Of course he also said he wanted to be a million other things too, including being a singer (this kid loves to sing songs by the Beatles). Whatever paths Kwon might take two things are certain for now: his greatest asset is his sensitivity and compassion and his life is just starting out. Dream big Kwon.  Hope big Kwon.

He looks like he is having fun. I’m sure with a family that supports him all his dreams will come true.

Yeah, that’s why I like the top right photo so much; I like that he is laughing while boxing. If any boxing is going to be done at his age, I would like for him to be smiling and messing around. I also think that photo sums up Kwon pretty well. He is just a sweet kid.

Kwon’s laugh is what I live for.
