Like me this past week, my favorite lens was also under the weather. I was delighted to receive a phone call this Saturday informing me that my trusty 50 was back from his trip to the NJ Canon Hospital. The news was almost enough to bring down my fever and soothe my throat and chest. Welcome back 50!

Sorry to hear about your 50! Glad it’s back…
I can’t wait for winter to be over, I’m not shooting much at all right now – as I don’t like to shoot inside, and I’m not finding the snow to be a very good subject.

Sweet gift! I love how fast the lens is. If you have seen some of my past images, its pretty evident that I have a love relationship with available light (even though amazing people like Joe McNally is convincing me that "created" light is awesome too) so I love how fast this lens is. I have been enjoying your portrait series where I smell the trusty 50 at work. Lovely stuff Kate.
