The Process of Remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

Light is fascinating.  More specifically here, the record of light across a given time span is fascinating and pretty.  As a photographer I am often aware that what I see with my own eyes is not the same as what a film or sensor can record, or for that matter the same as what other people might be seeing.  Last night Heather and I turned off our lights to watch a strange circling light in the sky through our window. To my naked eye Heather was bathed in near total darkness, but with a long enough exposure on a tripod I was able to reveal this photo here from the darkness.  I have often loved the richness of a long exposed picture, especially when tungsten light is involved.
