the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

“Afternoon Grace”

heather-sunlight-sleep.jpg

Heather looks so peaceful taking an afternoon nap.  If I get up before her I like to watch her sleep sometimes.  When she was sick with cancer I often use to watch her sleep at the hospital.  Sleep was one of the rare times when she looked as if nothing was wrong with our world.  I guess I like remembering those small moments of grace.  As I sat reflecting on these things I found it serendipitous that her medical alert bracelet that she now has to wear, found it’s way into the frame.  I will get back to posting some more photos of my Labor Day weekend in the next few posts.  I have a few more montages I would like to put together.

I know what you mean, Andrew! Thanks for bringing back my memories of watching my baby girl sleep peacefully…and of trusting God to give her many more such moments. My eye caught not only the medical bracelet but the wedding ring that was given her by a very special man whom I regard as a Gift from heaven! Love you both…Mom
