A quick break from photos of my friends today. This past weekend Heather and I discovered this farm (woods and gardens now) only 2 miles from where we live called Meadowbrook Farm. Originally, the place was a 150 acres functional farm given as a wedding gift to Alice Herkness and her husband J. Liddon Pennock, Jr. by her parents in 1936. Having lived a life of Philanthropy, they arranged for the gardens, woods, and houses to be left to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society in 2004. Although we didn’t get to walk through the houses this weekend, we enjoyed walking around some of the gardens and sitting on the benches to watch hummingbirds feed and the bees pollenate the flowers. We enjoy where we are living, because only 10 miles south is center city Philadelphia and then nearly in our backyard we have been discovering places like Meadowbrook.

Kris, you are always welcome here. Can’t wait for your visit.
Rachel, yeah I too like Rochester. I think it is one of the nicest cities in New York. It’s a pretty city.
