the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

d-and-d-belly.jpg

Hey all.  Sorry for the slowdown lately.  I have been a bit busy with work, but I am back to posting some more photos from my Labor Day Weekend.  Well, certainly the focus of the weekend was the belly of a particular woman friend of ours—Danielle.  To be sure there was a lot of belly touching going on.  A lot of “oh!”, “what the!”, “woah!”, “holy crow!”, “is this normal?!”, “yikes it kicked!”, “it’s an alien!”, “does that feel weird?”, “that’s so cool!” and “that’s not right!” were said (mostly by me) as we felt D’s baby move around.  Yet the weekend was not all about D’s belly.  It was also about D’s belly (rather him forcing it out).  Doug humored us with side by side comparison to Danielle’s belly and even let Paul examine the movements in his belly.  Paul’s expression above suggests some movement was felt, but I’m sure it was only gas.  On a side note a big Congrats goes out to Doug.  Doug, after years of hard work and studies, found out recently that he has passed his PA exam and has been offered a job at a hospital.

the intensity on paul’s face (lower photo) suggests that he’s the one with delivery room training!
