Every year my college friends get together for an extended weekend. This year we all converged on Silver Spring, Maryland. Why Silver Spring? Well, Allen (the dude holding the football) and Danielle (the woman with the Precious Cargo shirt) are expecting a Precious Cargo in about 2 1/2 weeks (the first among all of us). They currently live in Indonesia, but came home to family and friends to deliver the baby and to see all of us. We were sad to be missing a few of our friends in this photo, but we sure had a blast this past weekend. I love each of these people here as completely and as deeply as I love my family. A special shout out to Michael (dude behind Allen)—he is fairly new to our group—married our friend Mindy (pink shirt). Michael is sweet and has a great sense of humor and we are all looking forward to getting to know him better over the years. (Funny Side Note —- a group of elderly people at this park had fun and were openly laughing while they watched me set my camera on timer and then run back to my friends at full speed to make it in time before the timer went off. I loved that we were giving strangers something to laugh about).

I ran into Danielle randomly at the church we’re attending down here in MD – her inlaws also go there, and it was so fun to see her (and what a great surprise to see the budda belly) after so many years, since our wedding I think! Great photo. Looks like you guys had a great time.

Andrew – I wish I could have been with all of you guys this past reunion! I am grateful to have your documentation of those dear, familiar faces that I miss. Thanks for keeping me in touch with each one through your blog site.
