Memorial Day Weekend: Day 12
There are many things to admire about my brother Dave. As an artist, he is thoughtful, confrontational and articulate in his visions. As a scholar, he is both passionate and compassionate with a heart to educate, challenge and dialog with others on how to make sense of and make better this world we live in. As a brother, he is humble and loving. As a cancer survivor, he knows the meaning of carrying on. His daughter Gladi will have many things to learn from and admire about him. His infectious sense of humor is certainly one of them.
Gladiola, I am your father’s younger brother. I am a better person because of him. I trust you will be a better person for having him as your father.
