The Process of Remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

flower-face.jpg

If anyone knows the name of this flower, please let me know in the comments section.

UPDATE: As my father pointed out, this is a plain old Iris. I’m sure you horticulturist out there are probably cringing at this obvious miss on my part, but I sure do enjoy them. I’m pretty stupid when it comes to these sorts of things.

UPDATE2: My brother thinks this is actually not an iris.  He thinks it looks like a clematis.

Andrew … this is one of those rare-seen, flared Iris … the variegated kind. Wow, son! … where did you find such a plant?

This is a beautiful photo, Andrew.
I LOVE your photography, but I also get a kick out of your dad’s comments.
It’s nice to have something pleasing to the eye, as well as a chuckle for the soul…

    Hey Liana,

Yes my father is a special guy for sure. You are only one of a long list of people who are fans of my father’s comments on my blog. I am convinced his comments are 99% of the reason people check out my site. When I used to work at a school in Greenville, NY, people would often stop me and say, “hey, I have to check out your dad’s comment today” or “hey, did you read your dad’s comment today—that guy is awesome.”

My father—not only a good PR person for your website, but (I’m biased here) also the greatest Dad on earth.

not even close to an iris, ufortunately for our doddering ol’ dad.
