the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

People from all walks of life ask the question of heaven. I for one believe in the promise of being made new. The flower parts of the show was done with time lapse photography and took about 3 days. The portraits are of people I have met in my life.

The music is called “io (This Time Around)” by Helen Stellar. © Helen Stellar. You can buy their album HERE.
The dialog is from the film “Little Miss Sunshine.” © Fox Searchlight Pictures. You can also buy that movie HERE.

A bit different today. You will need the latest version of Quicktime Player to view the show. If you do not see and/or hear anything you will need to go HERE (if you have a windows computer) or HERE (if you have a mac computer athough you most likely already have this installed) and download and install the latest version of Quicktime player. The player is free.

To view the show simply click on the image above. Sorry it is a bit large in file size (32.5 MB). If you do not have broadband access it will take awhile to download before you can play it.

Hey thanks Kris and Jeff for your nice comments. People are such fascinating subject to photography. There is so much to look at when you look at people’s faces. I really do love it.

Nice job Andrew. I really liked it. Nice choice of music and nice dialogue from Little Miss Sunshine (an interesting movie).
Did you use time lapse photography for the flowers or did you do all that work in photoshop? I was impressed how the shadow from the vase did not move throughout the clip.
Like you, I also enjoy taking photos of people’s faces. I’m usually most satisfied with faces than anything else I photograph.

Hi Doug. The flower parts was done with time lapse photography and took about 3 days. Yeah I didn’t want there to be any shadow movement so it was done in a controlled environment using a 2 light system and manual exposure with custom white balance to keep each frame identical. Yeah I love Little Miss Sunshine. It is a fantastic movie with lots of really important things to say.
