This man above was getting water from a public fountain to make his morning coffee. I thought it seemed a little unsanitary at first, but I guessed he was going to heat it anyway so maybe it wasn’t so bad after all. I think he was either recently homeless or was a traveler. It is mysterious and beautiful how water in motion looks when stopped for a moment in time. Moving water actually looks like this all the time, but it goes fast enough that our eyes can only see the result of the motion and the light moving through and around it. Things often are not what they first appear to be.
