I am currently working on a wedding book for a friend’s wedding I recently shot. Such being the case, some of my time is taken up working on that. From time to time I post images of things I am currently doing and since I am doing this now I thought I would post some images from it.

I remember taking these shots well. Lis (the bride) had been pretty down earlier that morning (no not because she was getting married), but because a storm had decided to invite itself to her wedding, turning the sky pale and blank. Naturally, she was distressed. Yet, on our way to the reception, hope poked it’s head and pierced the sky with its gift of gorgeous light. I recall Lis running with her wedding dress and cowboy boots and saying, “oh oh oh it’s only going to last a short time—-can you get it Andrew? Can you get it….pleeeeaseeee?” Running up a small mound (and taking a picture of the ground in the process) I yelled, “oh yeah I got it covered” (ever the cool smoothy—yeah right). We snapped away until the batteries in the flash died—like I needed more pressure right then (batteries always fail at the wrong time—maybe it was because of the 30 degree temperature). So here is the capture from that endeavor. Here you go Lis my friend—Your Sky!

That was once in a life time sky but LOVE with capital letters, Patty was all over the faces of the beautiful bride and handsome groom,
My wish is for that to last a life time, with a few spats in between because making up is no nice to do.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from TEXAS. Love Lee
