While driving through Yellowstone a friend noticed this little Elk and called me over. It was just sitting in a small patch of grass of the side of the road. I didn’t think I would be able to get close, but the Elk let me get to about 6 feet from it. I sat there on the grass and watched and photographed this beautiful creature for about 10 to 15 minutes. It was so at peace and didn’t seem to mind me being so close. Living in Yellowstone, I’m sure it is use to people being around.
