The Process of Remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

Family. What a great word. Having been lucky enough to have been given such a great one, I have reason to be grateful. Others are not so fortunate for whatever the reasons. Yet, even in the best of families there can be heartache. Mine is no exception. Over the years, family meetings have been sometimes heavy and filled with grief. It is the role of the family to not turn away from each other in those times, but to weather through them. These are important times. Yet, those moments filled with laughter, as in this photo of my Aunt Flo and my father, are moments equally worth remembering and reflecting on. I love these two people with my whole heart. When I sit back and think of their laughter and faces, it’s as if I am getting another breath to plow on ahead—-with my family with me of course.
