Okay a little break from my Italy stuff. A day after I got back from Italy, I had to hop on another airplane and headed for Montana to shoot the wedding of a friend. This is Lis. In a courageous move, Lis left the comforts of family and friends in Upstate New York and moved out west a couple of years ago. She fell in love with the land, the enormity of the sky, the slower pace of life. It was love not land that kept her there, however. Being married myself, I am still constantly amazed at the intimacy we allow ourselves to share with another singular person. The risks we take to love and allow ourselves to be loved makes us unique to all other creatures. Love is the greatest of human characteristics. On the days when the daily grind overshadows the butterflies of love, the choice to love displays the height of the most mysterious and wondrous aspect of it—-the side that looks beyond our own self-interest. I wish this sort of love in your life Lis.

As an old friend of her Momma, I know how proud Patti is of her Beautiful little girl, who you captured for all of us who could not be there with them on that special day. Nice job Andrew!
