the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

Walking down my road this past weekend I watched this little chipmunk look at me with as much interest in me as I had for him. I wonder what this little one was thinking while looking at me. Science would most likely tell me that the chipmunk wasn’t thinking about much, but it would be impossible to know for sure. There seems to be a knowing look in it’s eyes.

Wait!! Where’s the running water?!?! I want to see the running waaaaaterrr!!!

By the way, son, that is no chipmunk … it’s a RAT in disguise. And you can be sure he is thinking about plenty .. like how many candy bars are in your backpack, where you live, and what YOU taste like. That look? He know, son .. he knows!

I don’t know Andrew, his cheeks look pretty full. I don’t think you have to worry!!! Great shot, I’m going to show it to my class.

Andrew….he was just thinking how great it was that you would make him today’s picture….and that we wouldn’t have to look at the water again today!!

He was thinking, “I’m so cute!!! LOVE me!!” No wait, thats what I’m thinking about him! What a great picture!! We have tons of squirrels in our backyard in Schenectady. I got a picture of one with a whole corn cob in its mouth . . . too funny.
