My niece Sydney and I were playing hide-and-seek at my parent’s house. It’s great how she finds the whole hiding thing funny and can rarely keep herself from laughing, that it often isn’t difficult to find her–I just have to follow the sounds of giggles to her. On one of my turns I chose to hide in the bathtub and snapped this picture just as she found me. I would never want to hide from her forever and I hope she feels the same about me.

This is a sweet picture; i mean that on several levels. I love the expression and movement you’ve caught in Sydney. The curtains provide a wonderful frame for the image, and there is some nice compositional stuff going on. It just works.
Since I’m no initiate to the mysteries of digital photography, what makes the effect of the grainy color? (you used it previously w/ the cat-in-law).
