Meg is my 9 year old friend. Meg is a precocious child and has what seems to be an unending supply of energy. She is a passionate kid who rarely does anything half heartedly. She’s a gymnast. She’s an artist. She’s a comedian. The thing that most impresses me about Meg, however, is her sensitivity and love for others. When someone is hurting she feels for them with her whole body, not with words. Would we not all be better people to have such empathy? Here she is standing in front of my AC unit during a hot summer day.
