the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

I met this man walking through an indian village. I found him interesting not only because of his striking eyes, but because, through the help of my 10 year old translator Emily, I found out that he was studying information technology in the city. He travels by a canoe (no other method but water vehicles) into the city to take classes. I found this surprising considering he lives in a heavily economically deprived village. I was further taken aback when he asked for my e-mail and produced a piece of paper for me to write on. I gave it to him and told him I would eagerly be on the lookout for his e-mail. I do indeed hope to hear from him someday.
