
A few night ago we got about 13″ of snow. I woke up around 6 in the morning to take this picture under the outside light of our home. This amount of snow in a single night can be a pain, but it sure did look pretty coming down.

That is a really neat picture! Did you use a slower shutter speed or was it coming down that fast? (I say this like I know lots about photography =))

Hey Rachel! Nice to hear from you. Well the answer would be a bit of both. The snow was coming down really fast (fast as I have ever seen snow fall actually), but at the same time I also used a slow shutter speed 1/10 of a second to allow the snow to drag. The combination of fast falling snow and slow shutter made for a compelling capture.

Great picture! this will be my first year with out snow, So it is nice to still see some. Hit Heather with a snowball for me..
