Heather and I took a cold walk through Boston Commons today. I was happy to see so many strangers all getting together to have a great time. There were people who looked as if they were born on skates while others were learning to glide for the first time. There were people of many different race, color and age and for a short time they all shared a small pond, experiencing a dance of joy. My fingers and toes might have been numb, but my heart was warmed.

I miss the snow and ice already! It is 70 with thunderstorms here in Charleston!
