the process of remembering: a photoblog by andrew huth

I’m at my sister-in-law’s home in NJ this Christmas. As I type this I am using their wifi connection. I’m free from the bonds of dial-up for the weekend! Hurray for me! The weather has been exceptionally nice for it being Christmas eve today. My wife, her sister Christy, her husband Jeff, Penny, their dogs and I went out for a walk around their neighborhood without our coats on. And so it’s Christmas now (12:01 AM). As I lay in bed writing this I feel most thankful for the gift of my wife’s love and not the gifts that await tomorrow morning. As I watch her sleep here next to me I am reminded that love does not come without its price and at times it can be messy. Yet, waking up next to her tomorrow will bring me more joy than anything I might find under a tree. Merry Christmas everyone.

Andrew! Andrew! I can’t believe it! You have found Boo Boo’s long lost twin brother. I showed him … he no longer is so lethargic and sad … and to think, his sibling, missing for all these years, is in our own family! A miracle, I think!!

Merry Christmas to you, too, son! I share every one of your sentiments; you and my precious are a shining example of all that the celebration of Christmas is meant to be. Don’t stop, son .. don’t ever, ever stop!!
