A friend of mine owns an airplane and took me flying over the Catskill Mountains near Hunter and Windham, NY to see the changing of the leaves today. It was breathtaking to say the least. Not only that, but he let me fly the plane for about 20 minutes while he kept a close hand on his controls. I learned a great deal and quickly found out that flying is most difficult indeed. He let me take the plane to about 300 feet before taking over the landing. My nervousness was evident by my gluts having fallen asleep (noticed only after I had landed).
At sights like this I am reminded of how beautiful our earth is.

Must have been an amazing experience! I was wondering where you got that great view. I was dreaming of seeing the autumn colors for vacation, but it wasn’t in the budget. Thanks for sharing the view. It’s gorgeous.

Very impressive. Too bad it took 2 years for someone to comment on your photo.
