This is Kristine. Kristine is very important to me. Kristine is finishing up a PhD program at Yale University on Byzantine Art History (yes 1 of only 2 in the whole world
. There is great depth to this friend of mine.
Kristine is a thinker. When you talk with her, you know she is well read and thought out. She is not merely satisfied with living life, but gives consideration to the living of it as well. She is a conscientious and sincere listener, and being such, also knows how to ask questions equally well.
Kristine is confident and sure of herself and her views. She is unafraid of talking about what she believes. Through it all though, she is gentle in her demeanor and openly questions and wonders about the things that are not fully settled in her mind. She is humble in this regard.
I could go on, but the greatest things I could say of Kris is that if I needed a friend to take a nice evening walk to talk about life, to laugh with, or simply walk in silence with, I would call upon her in a second.

What I see is an Art Historian thinking “I wish I were still an artist…there’s no place like home -there’s no place like home…aunty…murph…aunty murph…there’s no place like home”
yet we remain proud of her- thanks Andrew for the pic

like a lioness pictured in the African veld, so have you aptly captured the Art Historian in her element: the halls of academia.
