Pete is my friend. He is 5 years old. Pete is a strong kid. When he races you from one side of the pool to the other, it is a full contact affair and he usually wins. Pete is a kind kid. I don’t think I have ever been denied one of his toys. Pete is a funny kid. Like many 5 year olds, he blurts out with laughter at the mere mention of the word “butt.”

This guy looks awesome!!! Your portraits have TONS of personality. You also have that dark vignette thing down cold! do you somehow do this in camera, or is it all in post?

Well thanks Dave for your words. People are very interesting to me.
The dark vignette that my pictures all have is done in post. To achieve this effect in the camera requires either a vignette filter or a really crappy lens (ha ha) since they tend to vignette. So basically, I try to make my really nice piece of glass look flawed with my post work. Irony. I like how it helps draw attention to the subject. Maybe it means my compositions aren’t strong enough to stand on their own. I have to look into that.
Thanks for making me feel good about my portraits. The portraits and the people both are important to me.
