As I was getting ready to take my wife to her eye surgery I was “startled stopped” (my own phrase 
on my way to the refrigerator by a brilliant light coming through my kitchen window and passing through my glass. It made me feel grateful for my eyesight, to be able to see beauty in such a mundane thing.
